Lakeland Europe is the European and Middle East sales and distribution division of Lakeland Industries launched in May 2002 as a first step to bringing the excellence of Lakeland protective clothing, known for leading the market in North America for many years, to the rest of the world. Following extensive development of a European product range, trading began a year later with a first order from Italy. In just a few short years the company developed excellent trading relationships with some of Europe's major safety distributors throughout Western and Central Europe and in 2008 turnover achieved €3M. In the last two years Lakeland Europe has also successfully expanded sales into the Middle East.

• Low cost is an important factor for success in any business. Lakeland do not make cheap products, but we do produce excellent quality products at the lowest cost available. Unlike many “manufacturers” Lakeland do not contract out manufacturing but produce products in our own factories in Shangdong Province, China.

The Lakeland European product range is constantly expanding. In 2009 – 2010 work progresses on establishing CE approval of Flame retardant woven workwear, Chemical protective gloves made in Lakeland’s own manufacturing facility in New Dheli, and the Fyrepel and OSX range of fire fighters clothing.
